Our family tree contains several family members that lived in or near to Caverswall, for instance William Middleton - Martha James. - The 1841 Census shows the following family members living at Intake in the parish of Caverswall-
Head William Middleton aged 46 agricultural labourer. - Wife Martha aged 45.
Son William aged 15. - Son John aged 15 - Son George aged 12.
Daughter Eliza aged 10. - Son Joseph aged 5 - Daughter Harriet aged 3.

The area known as Intakes is approx 3/4 mile to the north of Caverswall village.
