The Parish Tithe 1841
This is a database of the persons who were Landowners or Tenants when the Parish Tithe was apportioned in 1841. Unlike the Census, members of their houshold staff or visitors were not included in the original list. The database provides a finding aid for the family names that could be found in the parish.
The Database can be searched by entering either a first name or a surname. The search is not case sensitive but you do have to enter at least three letters to perform a search. The term `Occupier` is used throughout the list and seems to indicate that the person was renting/leasing the land or property in question.
