Caverswall : This photo was taken in 1987. The Jaguar car in front of pub was probably owned by the Landlord Peter Ford. Peter and Sylvia were popular hosts, the amount of christmas decorations that they put up each year became legendary. Peter loved the pub trade and after moving away from Caverswall he became the publican of The Shambles in Lutterworth, Leicestershire. Tragically he was fatally injured during an altercation with a customer on the 11th of November 2000. His assailant Christoper Tucker pleaded guilty to manslaughter and was sent to prison for 4 and a half years.
