Comments: Hello All, I hope someone can help but I am trying to trace the BURGESS family tree and have found out,that JOSEPH BURGESS was married to ANN ALLEN MYCOCK or MAYCOCK in 1878 at St Peter's, Caverswall. In the 1881 census ANN ALLEN BURGESS was a widow and was living at 4 PALMER ST, CAVERSWALL.I hope this rings a bell with someone and any information would be much appreciated

Comments: Hunting my ancestry,I came across a document which may have interest for some readers.Dated 31 October 1601,it is a setttlement on messuage of John Porter,yeoman,and his wife Ann by which many farms and woods are integrated into the estate of Stallington and its Overhouse.Named are John Porter's late father Roger and grandmother Ellen,his mother Johane<now remarried to Thomas Shawe>,his wife Ann and their son Roger;others are Hughe Woolaston of Trescott Grange,Willm Copwood of Dilhorne,Edm Warynge,Edw Newman and John Eginton;the lengthy document is approved by Edward Glover,citizen and merchant Taylor of London.The indenture is online as The Potteries Museum Collection/SD4842/Stallington Grange Deeds.Are any of those names of concern to someone?John Porter
