Comments: Great site, brought back lots of memories. Went to school in Caverswall many moons ago ( St Filomena's 1955-1961 ).First classroom was one of the garages at the Castle! Good to see the site kept up to date unlike a neighbouring site that hasn't been updated in 2yrs ( Dilhorne ).Cheers from New Zealand, Kieran Turner.

Comments: Interesting site. I like it very much.
I've just started searching for info on surname Drawbridge. Grandfather (Frank Arthur) and great grandfather (William) born in UK. Believed to be in Tunbridge Wells area. Have found that there may be relatives throughout the UK.
I would be interested in any information.

Comments: I have what appears to be an oil painting of Caverswall Castle signed with the initials JDWD This painting used to hang at the home of my grandparents in the late 1930's or possibly 1940's. In any event it has now come into my possession and I am wondering if it is of any great interest or value. Can anyone shed any light on this please.

Comments: My parents Roy and Freda Machin farmed at Bank House Caverswall from 1944 to 1954. My brother Trevor and I went to St. Filumenas school. We all moved to Bournemouth in 1954 where my parents bought a hardware shop. My Mother now lives in Christchurch but my Father, Roy, died in 1987. I revisited a few years ago and met Kenny the milkman still doing his round ( he used to work for my Father). Is he still delivering? I have many happy memories and would love to hear from anyone who remembers us.
