I am a descendent of Admiral Sir William PARKER who's aunt Martha married St Vincent.
I have a copy of the family tree from Phillimore's 3 volume "life of Sir William Parker" but have not been able to find a copy of the book available for purchase.
if anyone knows of a copy for sale I would like to hear about it.
Thanks
Richard Bolitho

What a wonderful web site, I don't know why I haven't seen it before. My parents and grandparents were both married at St. Peter's. We lived on Melbourne St. Sandford Hill which was back then, Melbourne St. Caverswall! Your site helps me to figure it all out. Very interesting. Are there any Wootton's who descend from Samuel Wootton and Eliza Picken out there?

I know that James Tams was married in about 1826 to a Hannah Pedley in Stoke-on-Trent.
But I do know that a Stephen Tams was born in Caverswall about 1550. He had three sona and one daughter: John who was baptised 20 nov. 1575; Richard baptised 13 Feb. 1580/81; and Izabel baptised 22 July 1585. One of thew two sns jus might be an ancestor.
I would love to find out if they were!

Well done for a great site. I have been in India for 3 years and I have to say that it made me quite homesick. I am hoping someone can help me to locate a proof of my baptism registration as I need it to get married in India in December 2003.

Congratulations on a splendid web site, I came across it when researching
family history.
I note that there were Capewells living in and around the Cavershall area.
I believe my grandmother Susan Capewell was born in Fradswell in 1886, the daughter of Colin Capewell.
In 1911 she came to the village of Wheaton Aston to give birth to my father George Capewell, who was illegitimate and fostered by a local family.
Mother and son never met or corresponded.
She was eventually married in 1929 to a widower William J Bradshaw, she being 42 and he 56 years old respectively.
I am posting this note on the off-chance that someone may know something of them.
